About

Sila Inua (See-la In-u-ah) is an Inuit word literally meaning air; it’s person. It is the primary element of everything that exists; the breath of life, the spirit of air and the ether.

In Inuit mythology, Sila is the spirit of the air, the coming of the storm. An aspect of nature that brings change and renewal.

In Buddisim, sila is the practice of morality. Unlike western morality, sila is a mode of mind and volition. It is an ethical compass within self and relationships.

Sila Inua is a project that makes music both as a form of creative expression and for practical purposes. If you are interesterd in having us perform please feel free to contact us.
